My Gypsy life begins in 3 months....

the vagabond life...
Aaaand the pendulum swings back from Gypsy Wagon to Gypsy Vagabond... again.  I still would LOVE to have that wagon, but it's such a big investment in one lump.  SO... in the meantime, the vagabond dream is much closer to reality!

And really, when i get down to it... my move to Yellowknife IS the beginning of my nomad life!  I mean, i'll be leaving my friend to look after my house & cats, and will be moving on down the road & living in a new town... for a year.  I'll just be staying in my first stop for a lot longer than most towns, that's all.

This whole thing is doable only if i have my best friend to stay with the house (good thing he loves it and is willing to pay for it) ... AND my "patron" is still able to finance costs... rent, food & travel.  Without that... i'm screwed.  So, as long as these blocks are in place, i really need to take advantage of them!  Because who knows how long they will last!  *knock on wood*... The stars are aligned to be a vagabond, so, i had better get my *ss in gear and DO IT!  While i can!  Hopefully it will stay this way for a very long time...but  i'll just cross those bridges when i get to them.  One step at a time, and it looks like a vagabond is the first step!

Nomad; gypsy; Class B; Class A--it all sounds good to me. We have friends who have a mega-monster Class A which makes me feel a little nauseous. It's too much housework! How I would love for me and hubby to go somewhere together for an extended period.

As much as I love to travel I am too much of a homebody. I am very spoiled here, why wouldn't I be!?

When we looked into RVs a few years ago I realized that type of holiday lifestyle is so not me! After all the years we "camped" here I have a different definition of "holiday" and that doesn't mean taking my house with me! I still think I would prefer a truck and camper--but with seven dogs, that's just a dream.

Btw, our friends use there Class A even for a long weekend to Vancouver Island, but for them, it's more about status than comfort. (^_^)

Oh yeah, a holiday is a whole 'nuther animal! I'm talking lifestyle here. For a holiday, i'll go camping or (hmm but there's that bringing your house along.. lol)... It WOULD be nice for this Tikiphile to go to Hawaii & sip MaiTais... Or an Alaskan cruise... Oh yeah.. either one of those! :-)

Class A status? :-S Yeah, i'm seriously not into the 'status' thing. Lol. Class A for me would be INSTEAD of an actual house! That 'ain't happenin' any time soon (or EVER), so... I'd rather have a smaller more manageable house anyway...
